Reform UK has won control of Lancashire County Council for the first time. At the election on 1 May 2025 the party took 53 of the council’s 84 divisions, a clear majority. The Conservatives, who had run County Hall since 2021, fell from 46 seats to just 8.
In Burnley and Padiham, Reform UK won four county divisions:
- Tom Pickup, Padiham and Burnley West
- Mark Poulton, Burnley Rural
- Liam Thomson, Burnley Central West
- Eddie Kutavicius, Burnley South West
The county council runs the services that matter most day to day, including roads, adult social care, children’s services and highways. For the first time, Burnley and Padiham have a strong Reform UK voice at the top table, ready to push for better value for money and visible delivery on the ground.
This is the start, not the finish. The real test is what gets done with the result, and that work begins now.
